Day One
We Begin in Las Vegas
You should know that while I've lived all over the world, I've never traveled to this part of the United States.
Traveling during Covid-19 gave us many new experiences. Firstly, the prices of hotels, car rentals and the flights were almost too reasonable to believe. Unknowingly we landed on the first day Las Vegas opened. The airplane was packed, everyone wore a mask, and no food or drink was offered. McCarran International Airport was empty. I should say it looked like a Zombie Apocalypse as my friend couldn't believe how deserted Las Vegas was.
Hotel: Bellagio 1 bedroom for $90 with a king-size bed. Perfect for just an evening as it's in the middle of the strip.
Dining: Prime is the in-house steakhouse of the Bellagio. It provides the ordinary fare of aged meats, seafood starters, and expensive wines. For the money, I was not impressed as the meat was average and the shrimp appetizers were not fresh. I chose a Cliff Lede Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 which paired well with the meal and only $69.96 on Vivino.
